You can eat tuna like no other! Specialty “Maguro mori” [1,280 yen].

There are four types of tuna available at Maguro Morimori: “chutoro marinated”, “hoho mirin-boshi”, “nenoten dried overnight”, and “torogakko temaki”.

These are all rare parts of tuna that you have never heard of before, such as chutoro (medium fatty tuna), hojo (cheek meat), and enuten (brain), all of which are freshly delivered directly from a wholesaler specializing in tuna!

Each of these parts is finished with different seasonings and condiments, such as marinated or dried overnight, and grilled in turn in the furnace in front of you.

They are all very tasty and are indeed a specialty of the restaurant. It is fun to watch them being grilled.

The food was very good, even outside of the specialties and popular dishes!

The special fried tiger prawns had a delicious crispy batter and plump shrimp texture. The Gindara Mirin (silver cod) was also a dish that was a great way to enjoy rice, with its plump and tasty meat, and the sweet and spicy mirin flavor soaked into the dish.

The tsukune was also very tasty. It was juicy and the aroma of the grilled meat spread in your mouth, and the flavor overflowed with each bite. It tastes even better when dipped in egg.

Every dish was carefully prepared down to the smallest detail, and I could feel the time and effort that went into each one.

Robatano Itookashi, a sister restaurant of the very popular seafood izakaya “Uoto Sakana Itookashi” opened within a 10-minute walk from Ropponsue Station.

This restaurant dares not to serve raw fish, but instead offers robatayaki with a focus on dried fish.

At the long, vertical counter, one furnace is set up in front of each customer, allowing them to enjoy Robata-yaki right in front of them.

The retro fan on the edge of the restaurant is said to be the owner’s special touch, so be sure to cool off!
