All the dishes were delicious. The orange round thing in the Hanakago gozen was an immature egg called “chochin. It was delicious wrapped in nori seaweed with soboro.

The hardness of the earthenware pot rice was a little too hard for my liking. The rice was “Morinokuma-san” rice from Kumamoto Prefecture. The waiter explained it well.

The earthenware pot was so big that I ate up about four more servings of rice! Even if you have leftover rice, you can take it home as onigiri (rice ball), which is very nice.
