I had oyakodon for lunch at Toriryori Yoshikawa Shokudo in Akasaka, Fukuoka.

First, the eggs were incredibly soft and creamy, cooked to perfection.

The slightly sweet dashi soaked into the dish beautifully, and the tender, bouncy chicken paired perfectly with it. The large pieces of chicken were not only soft but also well-seasoned, adding even more depth to the flavor.

Rice can be upsized for free, and you can even request the toppings and rice to be served separately, allowing you to enjoy the dish however you prefer.

First of all, the portion size is amazing. You get about eight pieces of bite-sized chicken nanban, making it an incredibly satisfying meal.

Unlike regular fried chicken, this dish features large pieces of chicken coated in batter, deep-fried, and then cut into portions. The result is juicy, tender, and packed with flavor.
